A Nightmare into a Dream

The site where Freddy Krueger first stalked the nightmares of teenagers in 1984, still remains recognizable to fans and has hit the market for $2.1 million. But potential buyers have nothing to be afraid of. Anymore.

The home - LA., not Elm Street in the movie's fictional Springwood, Ohio - looks anything but terrifying. Ms. Hill bought the house in 2006 and completely gutted it, even reconfigured the entire floor plan. But the front of the home has remained relatively unchanged, and it has been a popular attraction for horror movie fans.
The 2,700 square foot, three-bedroom, stately house, built in 1919, boasts glossy walnut floors, arched entries, a chef's kitchen, luxe master suite with spa, and a stunning pool and garden. View listing here.
